Best Songs Of Enrique Iglesias
It
was most probably in 2003, or it may be in 2004, when I first got acquainted with
Enrique in some weekend magazine. It covered his Bangalore tour and described
the hysteria which swept over the younger generation of the town. From then
onwards, just like a teenager (I mean the female one), I started to love him, I
mean his music. I often wonder how he can do all these things- writing the
lyrics of the songs, composing music, exquisite singing with mellifluous voice
and dazzling performance on stage! It’s nothing but God’s grace to cram all
such great gems in a single box named Enrique Iglesias.
Enrique
did not want his father, a famous Spanish singer and songwriter named Julio
Iglesias, to know about his plans for a musical career and did not want his
famous surname to help advance his career. He borrowed money from his family
nanny and he recorded a demo cassette tape which consisted of a Spanish song
and two English songs as an unknown Central American singer named Enrique
Martinez. It wasn't until he earned a record deal with Fonovisa that Enrique
told his father and mother of his aspirations.
Enrique
has been celebrated with just about every award an artist can receive
including, multiple Grammy awards for his recordings, Billboard awards for
sales, and ASCAP honors for writing. Enrique Iglesias continues to be one of
the most successful artists in modern music having just released his new single
Finally Found You with a new album expected in Spring 2013.
Enrique’s
songs are special to me. They relate the saddest condition of a wounded
heart. And Enrique writes it very easily and executes it most passionately. Here, in this post, I
have listed some of my favourite songs of Enrique Iglesias and wish to share
them with you. Though the last two songs are in Spanish language, the music is
too sweet not to be shared.
